Wall mounted storage

This was built by my awesome dad and I thought it would take most of my paints and mediums how wrong was I!! I think I need another but it's a great solution I can now see most things at a glance rather than rummaging through drawers!

Canvas

A little something for mom for mothers day she always appreciates my handmade items which makes a change as not many people get it! Don't you just love spending hours on things only for the hubby to say "hmm nice but I don't get it!" Lol!

Canvas

Check out the baby monitor in the back ground, I can never get more than 40 min straight when crafting as my little monster doesn't like to sleep!!

Altered iPhone box

This was great fun to do and pretty simple, it's funny as a crafter you look at everything differently and this iPhone box was destined to be altered from ages ago- well now it's done and I'm pretty pleased with the result...

Here's how it was done...

I measured the panels and cut out and embossed some back card..

I then painted random areas with a wash of paperartsy fresco finish Irish cream ( I lovvveee this stuff!)

I then did the same with a wash of paint in the colour little black dress...

A little brush of treasure gold I used both white fire and pewter... This stiffs awesome and a little goes a longgggg way. I use it so much and I haven't even dented the tub yet!!

A coat of foil tape on the sides of the box and I coated inside to...

Stick on the panels and some metal feet (I also scratched up the foil to take the shine away and dry painted some random areas of paint)

Added some chains flowers and charms to complete the pretty little trinket box. How simple was that!

Thanks for looking x

Haunted House Mini Book

Here's a little mini book I made using last years photos. I had been really looking forward to making this I could picture In my head exactly what I wanted to do... I was just waiting for the right papers. I eventually settled for pink paislee a collection called phantom so that's what's been used for the pages. I also have the coordinating stamps which are lovely. A lot of the embellishments are by echo park, chillingsworth a collection which I LOVE. It's a stunning line I adore it and I would have used the papers for the whole book but I had already started my book and came across this collection after. Still am really pleased with how it's turned out. The cover was hand drawn and cut out and some of the pages have secret flaps and pockets holding more photos. The binding of the book was done by hand a technique called stack the deck which I found on you tube. I have also used some lush halloween stamps by MME throughout this project.

I'm back!!

I'm back and raring to go, I can't believe I haven't blogged in over 3 years! TJ Is almost 4 now and demanding my time more than ever, not that I'm complaining its such a wonderful age he's so inquisitive and cheeky he certainly keeps me on my toes. He's also in total awe of my craft room so it has now become 'our' craft room and I'm more than happy to share it with him... he's ever so good and for a three and a half year old certainly respects mummys things! I've been getting up to loads of 'craftiness' so I intend to share my treasures with you all from now on ;-D

Some 'Me' Time!

Managed to get myself to our local crop for the first time in agessssss...here are some of the layouts I did. The First is using basic grey porcelain, and the second and third are jillibean soup papers made using a kit from sarahs cards.

I feel a bit stale with my scrapping lately...I used to scrap constantly before becoming a mummy, and I must say I do miss being able to sit down with no interuptions and go into my own world and let loose! I find it harder to scrap at crops than I do at home....I suppose its all about being in my comfort zone and having everything to hand.

But beggars can't be choosers and I had a cool time having a laugh and getting some stuff done!

Managed to get a mini project done amongst dirty nappies, feeds, and the laundry! Didnt take too long and was a little rushed, but I am happy with the end result. The papers are jenny bowlin an old range can't even remember what its called, and the embellishments are old stash I am trying to use up.

I like the contrast of red cream and black so have been boring and stuck to just these colours!

My Wish For You

Managed to get a few layouts done, TJ seems to be so demanding I hardly get time to scrap anymore! I thought babies are meant to sleep most of the day so always thought id be able to get stuff done until he could walk...but TJ does NOT like to sleep! I cant complain too much I guess as he has always been really good through the night, hence the extra energy through the day!

Anyhow this layout was inspired by a Rascall flatts song called "my wish for you" they are beautifull lyrics and are exactly everything i wish for my little man.

Altered Little Box

Here is a little box I altered...again for mum isn't she lucky LOL! I actually bought her earrings for Christmas this year and thought the box was a bit naff...so I bought a bare box and made it a little more interesting for those earrings! I was really happy with it and thought it looked rather cute! The stamp is one of my faves, I have used it time and time again..unlike some of my other stamps that seem to be collecting dust!

Altered Mothers Day Book

It's mothers day on Sunday...cant believe how quickly this has come round! I always try to make an effort to make mum something special and handmade as she loves, appreciates and treasures everything I give her...but with a 2 month old I just have not had the opportunity this year! I was browsing through my photos and found this, which is what I made her last year for mothers day.
